Seared & Smoked Tofu Sliders Recipe
By: Paul & SarahThese tofu sliders are easy to make, and yet so satisfying. Serve on a bun as a simple burger, as a salad topper, or as a rice bowl addition.

Ingredients
1/2 block of tofu, extra firm
1 tablespoon tamari (or soy sauce)
Splash of liquid smoke
1 tablespoon tamari (or soy sauce)

These sliders go well with our sauteed mushrooms and onions and creamy dill tofu dressing but feel free to use any topping you like!
Directions
1. Open tofu package and discard the liquid.
2. Cut tofu into four equal slabs.
3. Use a paper towel to soak off extra liquid from each tofu slab.
4. Add tamari or soy sauce to a wide container and add the tofu slabs to soak for a few minutes, until all the liquid is soaked up.
5. Cook the tofu in a medium non-stick and greased pan on medium heat.
6. Flip the tofu until they are browned on both sides, usually under 5 minutes for each side.
7. Before serving, add a couple splashes of liquid smoke to each tofu slab.
