Key West Parasailing Adventure!
If youโre looking for some fun Key West excursions, itโs hard to beat some of the watersports options that include parasailing.
There are several companies that can get you out on the water and up in the air. Fury parasailing, Sebago, and Sunset Watersports are all great options that usually have packages that are pretty reasonable. For the best parasailing in Key West Just pick a company and get up in the air! No matter who you go with, weโre sure youโll have fun. On this trip we went with Fury since we combined it with a package that included all the other fun watersports like jet skiing, snorkeling, and a sunset cruise.
The package we bought at the time cost about $259.95 for both of us together and included jet skiing, parasailing, and snorkeling. Not bad!
Part of the fun that comes with parasailing in Key West is being out on the water! Since we donโt have a boat but love being on the water, any excursions that include a boat ride give us the best of all worlds. We get to see the sights, power around on a fast boat, and also get the thrill of being up high.
Your parasailing adventure in Key West starts when you leave from the dock by powerboat where giant cruise ships are parked. You then zip around out around islands and then get farther out in the water before youโre reeled out into the sky. A lot of the fun is being on the water with the wind blowing through your hair and checking out Key West from a different viewpoint than you would if you just stayed on shore.
What to Bring Parasailing
Hereโs a list of things you might want to bring when booking a parasailing adventure in Key West:
- Dramamine โ If boats make you nauseous, taking dramamine before you get on the boat is critical since the boat will be swaying a lot when the boat slows down
- Sunscreen โ Depending on how many people are on your boat, you will be in the full sun for extended periods while youโre waiting for everyone else to have their turn. Definitely make sure to put on a lot of sunscreen!
- Long sleeves โ If you donโt want to wear sunscreen, make sure to cover up.
- Hat โ I usually wear a hat for sun, but left it on shore because itโs very windy. If you really need one, make sure itโs secure or you will lose it.
- Sunglasses โ Same thing here, the sun is bright and reflects on the water
- Water โ Bring a water bottle if you get thirsty.
- Tip money โ Your crew works for tips so be sure to show your appreciation with some tip money. Weโre always entertained and have great memories from the people that work on these excursions.
- Camera (waterproof) โ You can pay for the photos that they take for you, but if you want to record your own, donโt forget to bring your camera along with a good strap. Waterproof is probably a good idea but if youโre only shooting from the boat you can probably bring a regular camera with a strap.
